so I originally
fell in love with Mesa Boogie amps, and adopted their
"Boogie" name in their honor. I have a small collection or
Mark II and Mark III Boogies and I love them all. But damn,
are they heavy! These days I prefer 60's Fender style amps.
Here we have my custom-made Chelsea Amp which is a 25W cross between a Tweed and Blackface style amp.
It's small, light, simple, yet powerful and is my current grab-and-go amp of choice.
My Gibson 50th Anniversary R9 les Paul, modified by Historic Makeovers, sits in front.
My curious cat, Tazz, approves as long as the amp is turned off. He prefers acoustic.
My current guitar of choice is my slightly modified Gibson CS-336. The guitar has been changed
to mirror what Jon Herington, of Steely Dan fame, did to his 336. It uses a single master volume, and two
tone controls, with one "dummy" knob. Callaham hardware is used for bridge and stop, and custom wound
Jim Rolf pickups give it that great classic PAF sound.
